Hello,
I recently received these beauties from Makeup Revolution and wanted to show what I thought now I have had a chance to play with them.
Recently Makeup Revolution launched, as part of their holiday season releases, their Life on the Dance Floor range. There are 4 collections within the range each having a celebratory themed name (Guest List, VIP, Sparklers, After Party). Within each collection there is an eyeshadow palette and three complimenting lipsticks. Today I have the opportunity to review one of these for you which is “Guest List” which is in Rose Gold packaging. Alongside these Makeup Revolution, known for “fast beauty” also expanded their skin kiss highlighter range and I have four of them to share with you.

Makeup makes me happy the more it sparkles so to me the new Life on the Dance Floor range it everything. I actually expected the packaging to have texture and the first thing I noticed about both the palette and lipstick packaging, was that they were smooth in texture. In general having the packaging on display really brightens up a desk during these dark and long nights which I really love about this.
The one thing that has impressed me about Makeup Revolution is that it is an evolving brand at a very fast rate. Each release I have found there’s something new and improved but they also update and don’t “forget” about previous releases (like reformulation the lip kit range and expanding the skin kiss collection). The Skin Kiss packaging keeps within the original theme although are now unboxed which I believe is an update due to the displays now in many Superdrug stores where you pick them up directly off the shelf unboxed. I always say this but I am a lover of highlighters and the more variance in colours the better I really like blinding highlighter also and these tick all of those boxes. The most obvious one here though is the “Dream Kiss” highlighter which has 5 shades and just looks mesmerising.

Champagne and Rose Gold Kiss are personally two I would naturally go for although on this occasion I was surprised to have found that I much prefer the “pop” from mixing Champagne and Frozen Kiss. If you are someone who prefers to have a more natural highlight then the Rose Gold is definitely perfect if you have a similar skin tone to me.

The Guest List palette is very much the types of shades that I feel not only compliment my skin with a selection of warm tones. The formula of the matte shades is really good if you are someone who is still practicing in makeup as it is buildable and blendable making it easier to create a really great look. The thing that I loved most about this palette was the shimmer shades which were highly pigmented and very shimmery.

The lipsticks really impressed me not only because I love the nude lipstick shades but also because they were like placing on pure pigment. These were not heavy to wear however I find that I normally need to work a lipstick due to the shade difference between my top and bottom lip naturally, with this one coat provided a seamless finish.

These are definitely great nude lipstick shades for mid-toned skin and I was surprised that when I wore “Stiletto” that not only was a perfect nude but it was so perfect that you could not tell I was wearing anything, unless you know that my natural lips are different shades.
Below is a look I wore when I first got the palette which shows how the highlight wears and the eyeshadow blends out. As you can see the shadow really blends well and the highlight is really stunning.

If you want to try these of any of the range then be sure to check out Makeup Revolutions web page or your local stockist.
Will you be giving them a go?
