Bingsu 팥빙수

bingsoo cafe sign

Hello,

If you’ve never heard of this before patbingsu red beans with ice. There are so many alternative spellings for this such as, bingsu and bingsoo.

Bingsu is a highly popular Korean dessert with sweet toppings such as chopped fruit, nuts, condensed milk and Azuki beans.

I am so lucky to have found somewhere locally that serves it and so I have now tried two different types. The first was covered with nuts and the second was green tea flavour. Both were really good but so unusual to everyday desserts.

The portions look quite large however these were shared and generally I observed people sharing these inside the cafe. They aren’t however overly filling so even if you did get one to yourself I think a medium sized would be ok.

The ice is a combination of water and milk this is so it melts easier in your mouth but in a nice clean non brain freezing way.

If you haven’t checked it out then I would definitely recommend you give it a try.

Also they provide you with 20% voucher to Sakura restaurant upstairs which you can check out on my previous post.

Let me know what you think.
