The moment you’ve been waiting for! From today (Thursday 1st November, 2018) the first items from the new Lush Makeup range will be available in Lush’s global flagship on London’s Oxford Street.
Following the positive feedback from the online releases, Lush want to make it easier for people to try and purchase the new #LushMakeup products. Their aim is to revolutionise the beauty industry by stripping away unnecessary packaging, fighting animal testing and delivering skincare-led benefits in multi-use formats.
The initial products available from the #LushMakeup range will be Slap Sticks solid foundations and Glow Sticks solid highlighters. These will be followed by monthly releases to cater for every beauty need. This is certainly a range you will need to keep an eye on.
In addition to be passionate about benefitting the skin. Lush Makeup is also passionate about sourcing raw materials from projects supporting women in work and children in education.
The new makeup products utilise a range of artisan ingredients from community co-operatives, such as coconut oil from Nias, Indonesia. A portion of the profits fund social amenities like a local dentist and literacy classes. Lush co-founder and product inventor, Rowena Bird is particularly keen for product inventors to develop more items using beautiful ingredients that support community projects, in particular, Fair Trade and organic shea butter, aloe, and moringa and argan oils.
