Hello,
This is just a short update post following the release of the Fenty beauty Mattemoiselle lipstick range, which I happen to have purchased a little while ago. Although I would have loved to have bought the entire collection (because who wouldn’t), I went for the shades I thought would be most wearable.
Shawty
The first shade I went for was the one named “Shawty” which firstly I always want to say in an accent but secondly really is a nice shade. The lady that helped me was actually wearing it at the time and it truly is an interesting shade of brown and described as a “warm chestnut”. Initially I was going to go for PMS which I imagined would look like how this shade actually looks on me.
Freckled Fiesta
I saw someone try on the “Saw-c” shade which looked a little too much of a bright orange so I went with this one which I think would work well with my skin tone throughout the summer. That said it was deeper on me than I expected (I’ve no idea what was wrong with my eyes the day I visited the store), although a very nice shade I reckon it is quite a safe one and so I will definitely pick up one more.
Formula
Firstly I will say the design makes it really hard for someone like me to use because I can never get enough images of the Fenty logo on the top of the lipstick. The packaging is super cute and keeps in theme with the rest of her collection. They were not lying when they’re described as ultra thin as they really are so cute. It glides on however I found it like pure color so it has great pigment.
I picked mine up from Harvey Nics for £16 ($18) however you can also grab yours online.
Will you be giving any Fenty products a try?
