Drunk Elephant Skincare | First impressions [AD-Gifted]

*Gifted products are featured in the post but all views are my own

In this blog post, I will be sharing my first impressions of the Drunk Elephant skincare product ‘The Littles Night Out Kit’. The kit represents an entire Drunk Elephant customisable 30-day routine.

About

Firstly let us address the elephant in the room (#sorrynotsorry). The name Drunk Elephant is rooted in a myth. The story goes that elephants love to eat the fruit that has fallen from marula trees(they do), and the natural alcohol content from the fermented marula fruit then gets the elephants drunk(it doesn’t).

Developed after the founder experienced a number of skin concerns before identifying the six ingredients which caused them (essential oils, drying alcohols, silicones, chemical sunscreens, fragrances/dyes, SLS). As a result, Drunk Elephant uses an ingredient-elimination philosophy for a total skin reset (#drunkbreak). Using these products exclusively is the best way to get maximum results. Alongside this, they focus on healthy pH levels, formulations the skin recognizes, small molecular structures that are easily absorbed, and effective active ingredients that also support and maintain the skin’s acid mantle.

The Littles Night Out

The interesting thing about Drunk Elephant skincare products is that as they don’t contain silicones you can simply mix what you need in the palm of your hand and apply it all together. This makes Drunk Elephant the ultimate skinimalism brand.

Products

Thoughts

If you are someone who typically avoids the hype then you’ll be pleased to know that Drunk Elephant skincare products really do live up to expectations. The other interesting thing about their range is that your skin type is not the main driver in terms of your product choice. I will always recommend a kit like this if you are wanting to try and new brand as you get to test out their products without breaking the bank.
