Inside my Maxfactor Vox Box – First Impressions

Hello,

So this is a double first as I have recently signed up to Influenster and I tested a couple of lip products from Maxfactor.

Influenster is a commuinty with over 3 million social shoppers who review products and share their honest opinions with the wider community and brands. When you sign up there is a handy app you can download and finish setting up your profile on. Once you have linked your socials to generate your impact score, you get invited to test products for free based on social media influence (so link as much as you can). There is literally so many different product categories so if like me, you do enjoy reading up on the latest palette release reaction, then this is a great place to check out. Not only are there opportunities to test products yourself but also you can win prizes, redeem coupons and connect with other influencers.

MaxFactor is not a brand that I frequently feature despite them being in drug stores. If I am not mistaken I have only featured their translucent powder in a favourites post (which I still love to use). It is however over 100 years old and has a wonderful heritage aiming to help buyers realise and create their own glamour potential.

I received these Maxfactor products complimentary from Influenster for testing purposes.

The Colour Elixir Lipstick range has 15 shades and I was lucky enough to get my hands on “Chilli”. It is highlighted as moisturising and when I placed it on my lips I could not agree more as it had that lovely silky feeling. Although matte are more long wearing the recent change of weather has made me switch it up. This is as it gets cooler I feel it is better to have more moisture especially on the lips. The shade is a nice autumn/winter shade which I wouldn’t say is an obvious red but more like a rose red. I also like that it has a shimmer to it once applied.

I really like the description accuracy of the lipstick and Honey Laquer. I received the shade  “Floral Ruby” and would definitely consider it to be bold in terms of the colour with high shine. I see many people wear this type of red all year round as it is a perfect signature red if you are a lover of them. There are a total of 8 shades in the range however I wouldn’t be surprised if this doesn’t increase as these feel great on and lack the stickiness that you can sometimes experience after wearing glosses for long periods.
