First Impressions – Fortune Favours the Brave Palette

Hello,

I thought I would share with you my personal first impressions of the Makeup Revolution “Fortune Favours the Brave” palette as I have been so excited about picking this one up. If you have been to a local Superdrug store then you would see it displayed as “British Beauty Bloggers favourite” and to be honest I think the titled is well deserved.

The outer packaging is not the same as the rest of the palettes from Makeup Revolution I own, as it is gold which makes it feel just as special as it looks inside.

As always, there is a nice handy mirror and brush combo when you open it so you can take the palette if you need to do your makeup on the go. With a selection of 30 shades (literally from white to black), it’s hard not to be able to create a look to compliment your mood.

When I initially posted an Instagram pic of it, I received some questions around pigmentation so I also have some swatches. I personally found the pigmentation great not only that but also the texture.

Firstly I will highlight that I used a dampened eyeshadow brush to apply them which is what I do with all of my eyeshadows (I find it makes eyeshadow last longer). When I did this with shades such as Pink Diamond, Favour and Sunset Hour, they dried into what I can only describe as, a liquid metallic effect.

If you want to give this palette a go for yourself then you can pick this up from Superdrug or directly from Makeup Revolution London.

Have you tried this palette? What are your thoughts I’d love to know in the comments below (alternatively you can tweet me @justnadiene) 🙂
